Two-way translation
Translating both directions of a conversation at once, so each side speaks and hears their own language.
Two-way (bidirectional) translation means both directions are handled simultaneously: A's speech is translated for B and B's speech is translated for A, within the same session. This is what makes a translated call or in-person exchange feel like a single conversation rather than two one-way translations stitched together.
In SimulSpeak's in-person mode, two-way translation runs on one device with tap-to-talk turns; on a call, both legs are translated continuously.
